Blog EntryI just don’t know what to do with myself….Apr 17, '08 7:05 PM
for everyone
Jun, Gio & Raine left for camp 5 am.  I kissed them and said my last minute bilins, “Have fun… don’t forget to use to use sunblock… take a lot of photos.” As they drove off the garage I prayed in my heart, “God protect them, in that car is my whole family”.

What will I do today? I can get off from the office by 5PM. I can go out with friends, I can get a haircut, I can go to the mall, I can go to the spa, I can do my nails, I can see a movie, I can read a book. I can do whatever I want to do today, whatever I decide to do. Now that I have all this time (Friday night & Saturday morning), all this quiet, all to myself time. I don’t know what to do. I can’t believe it.

I don’t have to do anything grand. I’ll take this a moment to catch my breath, re-evaluate & and thank God for his faithfulness in my life. God has been so good to me. That’s what I’ll do.

Summertime. Gio and Raine are excited to go swimming. Last Saturday we went out with my sister and neice. The kids had so much fun. I think we'd do it again this weekend.

As Jun and I are talking about our day while having Father’s day dinner last night I asked him, Why is Father’s day more emotional than Mother’s day? He said because of the fatherless generation.

From what I know men don’t like the the mushy , corny stuff that makes you cringe. But as I compared, Father’s day is heavier than Mother’s day. From the preaching, the people I talked to, and the blogs I’ve read. There is that void, that longing, that wishful thinking for fathers.

The great thing about it is that ultimately God is our Father and we should take this to heart. You may have the best dad, the lousiest dad or anything in between. No one could be as gentle, as strong, as kind, as loving, as forgiving, as faithful, as true, as sure, as generous, as patient, as merciful and as wise as Him. Only He is perfect. He is God. No one can take care of you and protect you like He does.

To all the fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day! To Papa, I honor you for giving your best to us. Thank you for putting your full confidence on me. Hats off to those who are really working on being a good father to their children. And to those men who are fathering and mentoring not only their own but also others, praise God for you. We need more men like you. Lastly to Jun, my husband and the father of my children, you are our hero, our champion and we love you.

Last night, Ms Marie gave Ptr Joey a surprise birthday party. It was really a surprise to him. He was clueless to what's waiting for him when he opened the door...Happy Birthday!!! The theme is 70's hippie style. The men wore wigs! Everybody was so game and had so much fun laughing at how everybody looked. One person told me he's wearing one for the love of joey. Another said that his gift is the embarrassment of wearing a wig hahaha! It was a success. Way to go Ms Marie! And Ptr Joey, Happy 50th birthday!!

Fallen
Lauren Wood

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.
And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's ironic to be back in the game.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

And I want to tell you, you control my rain..
And you should know that you are life in my veins.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you...

I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.

And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's erotic to be back in the game.

for everyone

I’ve learned early on that men are not mind readers so you just have to tell it to them straight. What you think, how you feel and what you want (what you really want ok). Believe me. Life will be much easier, the discussions shorter  and the happy days longer. Here’s a little something to avoid confusion (hehehe).

What women say and what it really means:

•    Yes = No
•    No = Yes
•    Maybe = No
•    I'm sorry = You'll be sorry
•    We need = I want
•    It's your decision = I don’t want to get involved
•    Do what you want = You'll pay for this later
•    We need to talk = I need to complain
•    Sure, go ahead = I don’t want you to
•    I'm not upset = Of course I'm upset, you #@*%!
•    This kitchen is so inconvenient = I want a new house
•    I want new curtains = carpeting, furniture, and wallpaper as well
•    Are you awake? = Please turn off the airconditioning
•    Do you love me? = I'm going to ask for something expensive
•    How much do you love me? = I did something today you're going to hate
•    I'll be ready in a minute = Kick off your shoes and find a good game on TV
•    You have to learn to communicate = I need some attention, tender love and affection
•     Are you listening to me!? = Too late, you're dead
•    Honey… am I pretty? = Can you give me some money for a haircut, a manicure, a
pedicure & a facial? Dagdagan mo na ng pang-footspa, hot-oil at marami pang iba.

And last but not the least… the all-time favorite… classic question:

•    Am I getting fat? = I’m not sure what answer I want to hear right now but you better get it
right or it’s gonna be a long one…

… and so the story goes… You want answers? I want the truth? You can’t handle the truth!!!!

Hay naku! Sabi nga nila mahirap daw i-spellengin (lalim no?) ang mga babae….
Hmmm, hindi naman msayado.

Blog EntryGood MorningFeb 6, '07 12:01 PM
for everyone

I’m a morning person. I wake up really early and enjoy the quiet. It is then that I muse and get most of my ideas. Sunday morning I was looking at my sleeping husband and can’t help but be thankful for him. He had a lot to do the previous day and at the latter part of it we went to a party. The traffic was bad and our kids fell asleep at the back. I usually navigate when we’re on the road and that time the directions I gave was bad (on top of traffic bummer talaga!) We had to turn back. You know what, I didn’t hear anything from him (he’s not giving me the silent treatment ok ☺). He didn’t frown nor roll up his eyes. Pag ganyan pa naman parang it’s medyo ok lang to react kase I had it coming diba?. He was actually gentle pa when he talked. Hmmmm. Thank you Lord for this person.

One might think, “That’s it?” Well it’s not “just it”. When you are married, the little things count a lot and sometimes mean more. He chose to love me more than his reaction. More than saying I told you so.

Here goes. After the fireworks from new year’s eve… from the first day of work… at the the first crack of our meeting, it’s blog time once again. Folks, I have been introduced to the world of blogging. ( Don’t get me mistaken, I heard of it, I know of it and I read it… hindi ako ganun katanda hehehe) To be introduced is something different. To know its potential, to buy into the vision and own it is the end it was aimed for (by my boss that is).

I believe in it, I can see its potential and I buy it pero I’m still not blogging (not until now). Bakit? Maybe because I’m hesitant to be in a place where anyone can just have access to me. To have a glimpse of me and who I am. To have an open window to my soul. After all, what we’re writing is out of the abundance of who we are. Now, I have counted the cost and I’m willing to pay the price.

If only for a few sentences and paragraphs you can make someone smile or even laugh if you’re that great hehehe. If only for those few sentences you can encourage someone. If only for such you can inspire someone and spur them on… then it’s worth it. I’ll do it. So here goes. Blog on!

By the way, ngayon lang ‘to melodramatic. Intro kase hehehe. Next time light light na.
